Recently my friend who owned a mildly worked EF Falcon 6, had problems with overheating. General driving was ok, but as soon as he gave it a bit of a hard time the temp would shoot through the roof.
What was found was that the radiator was clogged. What they found to be the majority of crap in it was the sand from when the block etc was made. (not sure of the process here). He was told that this is a very common problem with the 6's.
One new radiator later, as it was that bad, he now has no problems. Might pay in the long run to get that radiator flushed more that most of us probably do now.
Food for thought anyways.
Oh and have a happy and safe Easter guys and gals. =)
