Not even sure where to go with this question, so I'm starting here (feel free to redirect if needed). I just acquired a lifted Quigley 4x4 E350 Van and am trying to learn the 4 wheel drive function. It has an onboard air compressor, and air lock rear hub system. What I'm trying to understand is how the air driven system works...I assume the air compressor must be turned on the make the air locker engage. But can the air compressor then be turned off once airlocker is activated or does the air compressor need to be kept running to keep the airlocker engaged?
Thanks for any info or direction. B.

That's an upfit, as far as I know, Ford never offered that from the factory. You'd probably have to find out who installed it or what brand it is. Generally, there are switches that turn the compressor on to keep the vehicle level.
