I have just completed the blue LED dash mod on my AU but have one small problem, I can not see my speedo, tacho, fuel or temp needles at night. I thought fine no worries i will scrape off the orange paint on them, now this worked a little but is still not very good.
I used 3000mcd LED's do you think I should have used 4000mcd LED's instead?

I only used the 3000mcd because i heard people saying that the 4000mcd were too bright.

Any help would be great.

Thanks guy's.

Paint the needles with glow in the dark paint, they will be white at day and glow white at night, and being white the will reflect the blue.

Just a thought.

I would try Riot craft stores, or any craft/hobby store for that matter :0)

Let me know how it goes, I would like to do the same, when I get my dash changed to white numbers.

I have to say that the blue led's look great...... really great but i just cant get the needles to light up.
Just put in the 5000's but seems to make no difference.
I will post all info as it comes to hand aswell as pics.

save your self the trouble, I changed mine to blue by putting blue celaphane behind the numbers, meaning I could leave the bits I wanted in there original colour (i.e. needles, red line etc...) I also went for a dark to lighter colour effect by using different amounts of cello, just trying to be creative lol.
