Ok

I am a bit worried about this...

it looks like the AU professional theif has cracked the AU smartlock code.

This unfortunately was confirmed last night when an AUxr8 was stolen from outside the Whitehorse Inn last night!

The smartsheild in the AU2 has yet to be cracked..

it just shows the importance of installing high quality after market alarm:( :( :( :( :(

remember there are more ways than one to steal a car .... tow trucks and such .... or someone has just cracked it already..

Pretty screwed up .... poor dude, I would be *very* unhappy to have that happen to me

LAMINGE: it may have been an AU1 (Pre-upgrade).

The Post-Upgrade (AU1 & a half) Changed to the key with the transponder in it.

They are a much harder system to crack (Virtually impossible) and i dont think any have been stolen (driven away)

Yesw the xr may have been a pre upgrade, but it was driven away and not towed..

I would love to see ford go to the extent holden have in the HSV and intergrate the alarm into the car and then shut their mouths about what system it is!!!

Hrm.. now that's just giving it all away isn't it? :D

Just wondering, I'm guessing from the description that this is only sold with tracking?? Is it available as a non-tracked alarm??

This is the one I was talking about. Sorry I'm new at this and I posted all of the info instead of what you guys wanted. You don't need the tracking at all.
