Over the last week my AU XR8 whilst driving has simply shut down on four occasion's. Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

No, but it may be interesting to have a look at the fault codes stored in the ECU....

could even be fuel pump relay.It drove me nuts for months then finally shit itself and it was'nt outside home either.Mine eb xr8

does your car have an alarm? or only the normal smartlock? may be nothing to do with it, but i have heard a number of stories about any alarm over the weekend that would make you wonder...other than that, get it back to ford and get them to retrieve the fault codes as simon suggested.
