There is an issue related to autolamp (headlights) turn on reaction time/speed when the dark ambient condition is sensed.
There are 2 options for the Ambient Light Sensor Type (reaction time/speed) in BdyCm (BCM) Module Configuration - Slow and Fast.
If SLOW option is configured - When the dark ambient condition is sensed, it takes 15 seconds the headlights (autolamp) to be turned on. For example while entering tunnels headlights turn on after 15 seconds.
If FAST option is configured - When the dark ambient condition is sensed, it takes 1-2 seconds the headlights (autolamp) to be turned on. For example while entering tunnels headlights turn on after 1-2 seconds.
We tested it on some 2017-2018 Ford Fusion models, it worked as written above, there was no problem. That was the result we expected to see.
But in 2014 Ford Fusion models it doesn't work as expected. (At least in those ones we tested). It doesn't matter which option is selected (fast or slow), it takes 15 seconds for the headlights (autolamp) to be turned on.
We tested Ambient Light Sensor itself, and the sensor worked fine, means it reacted the dark ambient condition momentarily. There was no problem with the sensor. However the reaction of autolamp remained same (15 seconds) in both configuration options. (Slow/Fast)
Can anyone please give any information regarding to this issue?
I want the headlights (autolamp) of 2014 Ford Fusion to be turned on within 1-2 seconds when the dark ambient condition is sensed.
How can it be solved?
