I'll be taking my BA XL SE ute on the dragstrip for a fun day, and I was just wondering what other BA owners have found using the shifting on the auto's, is it better to just hold it flat while upshifting? or let throttle off between changes?

I put a little bit off research into this after asking the same question on FF.

I found it's faster and smoother to keep your foot absolutely flat to the floor and change just before the rev limiter. I don't know if its faster than Performance Auto Mode, but it feels quicker.

However if the rev limiter cuts in before you change... you'll loose....

Let me know your times for both.

my best time on the quarter mile was in perfomance auto mode, it changes gears right on the rev limiter everytime for me....

ive tried changing myself at 5000 revs and kept up with a VY V8 calais...
