Hi
I don't know if diesels misfire do do the nature of the way the injection works, it could just be a faulty injector or blocked injector.
The symptoms are the engine will run ok and idle at about 1,000 rpm then for no reason it drops to about 8 or 900 and starts to feel very lumpy - in a petrol engine it would be misfiring but as this is a diesel I don't know what it is.
Car: 1998 UK Spec Ford Escort 1.8 turbo diesel
Any ideas?
Thanks
Adam.
