my brake lights seem the be not coming on, ive narrowed it down to the brake light switch above the pedal. ive put a thin bit of metal in between the switch and the pedal so the switch activates the brake lights. but i want 2 replace this, is this an easy thing to swap with another switch???

They all do this. Replace the switch.
