Hi all-
Sure hope there's someone here with experience on this.
I have a 1999 E350 Super Duty with the Triton V10. As is pretty common, a good number of exhaust manifold studs broke off when removing both sides. I'm going back with BANKS headers.
There are three left that are impossible to get to with a drill. All other forms of extraction have failed.
Here are the three:
#10 cylinder (bottom stud)
#9 cylinder (bottom stud
#7 cylinder (top stud)
The shop that's working on it is stuck, short of pulling heads, and is suggesting that they use red RTV gasket material on those three. (One bolt and RTV)
Any help would be appreciated.
