Hello everyone,

I'm brand new! Got a bit of a bummer problem though. Got a 2000 Mustang black in color. Beautiful car. I love it! Less than 5000 miles on it. But, someone sideswiped my rear bumper cover and got white paint on the cover in addition to lots of scratches and paint chips. Purely cosmetic damage but looks really bad. Was wondering if any of you readers had suggestions on what type of rubbing compounds or waxes and polishes that could be used to buff out the scratches? Or should I think about buying a new bumper cover? Thanks in advance,

Chris

Zaino makes a really good scratch remover. Good polish, too, but I'm biased. It really all depends on how bad the scratches are. You might try some touchup paint too.

My black truck had a meeting with a shopping cart while I was in the store. :err: Wasn't perfect, but hardly noticeable unless you were looking for it. Good luck!

Wow, does it really make your car look as good as the cars in those pictures. Most are taken in the early evening, which is an good time to take pictures that look flawless anyway. Just wondering. I have a minor scratch on my door and some scraps on the front bumper cover from the driveway at my last house. Is it ok to use if you have clear coat?:btonge:
