I have a 2000 ford focus with 20,000 miles on it. It is just out of warranty. One week ago I replaced the front tires and the right front tire started to make a rubbing noise. They dealer now tells me that the carrier bearings are shot and they need to be replaced. It seems strange to me that before the new tire was put on it was ok and they did not find anything wrong, and then one week later the bearings need to be replaced. Isn't 20,000 miles low for something like this also?
I know next to nothing about cars, but thought I would ask the question. Situation seems strange
Thanks
