IS it possible to relocate/swap positions for the stereo and the air circculation dials with little or no modification? Or will it take some major alterations? Will the wires reach for the respective units if you swap there positions?
I have had my console torn apart and take it from me, if you don't know what your doing, and know how to work with plastics or fiberglass, I wouldn't even think of trying. Butr it is possible, with ALOT of work involved.
i've seen this done on a 95 probe gt before and i was thinking of doing the same thing. there was no modification necessary and everything worked just as it did before.
I looked at doing this myself when I installed my head unit. The AC/Heater controls have mechanical linkages via stiff cables to ventilation doors behind the glove box. Physically moving the controls to the lower location of the radio tends to bind up the stiff cable linkages thus restricting the full clockwise and counter-clockwise rotations of the control knobs and improper control of the ventilation doors.
