Same thing happens on my ed futura, except passenger side. I'm 90% sure its the solenoid that opperates the lock on one of the other 3 doors. Try and lock it and look to see which door lock button doesn't go down, that's the one that's stuffed. Probably should get mine replaced some time, looks like a bugger of a job too, the fastening screws are on the inside of the door, and i can't see a thing in there. Looks like a dealer job.

You have to get somthing and leaver the button out, then push it back down , then its just trial and error.
Rather than lever the button out and risking gouging the hell out of it, why not just remove the door trim and do it properly?

Tell us how you remove your door trims?[/QUOTE]

1. Remove interior door handle.
2. Remove window winder (If manual)
3. Remove philips head screws on sides of door trim.
4. Ease door trim up, uncliping from the top.
5. Move door trim away from the door slightly, and down to expose the knob.
6. Unscrew knob.

To get the button off without gouging it, simply use masking tape and put a few layers over it, then use a pair of multigrips on the tape. Did it on mine 3 times, and not leave a mark.
