Is it worth putting a chip in an ATX. I've gotten mixed reviews on this subject so far.

I am sure that it will do more good than harm. Just as long as whoever knows you have an auto so that they can optimize the gears for you, it should help alot. The gears should pull longer and shift quicker. I don't see how it can hurt anything.

I don't, YET. But it is in the plans. It will be one of my very last modifications because I want to get the ignition coil and msd box, and also get some new injectors, and a high flow fuel pump, fuel regulator, and blue print the injectors. With this stuff done, then you can fine tune the chip to compensate for the added fuel, air, spark, which makes the chip more efficient and produce more HP for your car. If you purchase the chip as one of the first modifications, it will help, but as you add stuff to the intake, exhaust, ignition, fuel system you would have to reprogram it all the time which would be a waste of money, so I'd make it one of your last modifications unless you buy a multiple bank chip like the Diablo chip. They are run by some ex Superchip employees, and Diablo chip really knows their shyte. They also love working with Fords, especially ones that don't get alot of attention..

Peace,
Marc
