Hey guys, my dad and I have a 66 galaxy 500 convertible, and up until about 2 summers ago ran amazing every time we drove it. But now it seems that every time I do to drive it, it vapor locks, no matter what temperature it is outside. I've replaced the fuel cap, but it's still happening. Should I get the tank itself looked at?

You could try changing to a cooler thermostat which would help engine heat and changing to a phenolic spacer between the carburetor and the intake manifold. If that doesn't cure it you may have to fit an in line electric fuel pump .

Are you sure nothing's damaged the fuel line? Haven't moved anything to create heat? I found a video that talks of adding a return line, but that's in the case of adding an electric fuel pump.
