Hello I have a 91 tempo gl 4 cult and it overheated with steam under hood I thought the head was cooked but I checked the radiator and the cap was cold thinking the thermostat stuck I opened it and it was very low so I added coolant and it ran out the back by the water pump which is only 3 years old and a new ford part so any suggestions as to what it could be? The car starts and runs perfect so I don't think the head gasket is gone any help before I get into it is greatly appreciated

You really need to identify exactly where the leak is coming from , whether the pump or not . A pressure tester on cooling system would help to find leak if having problems locating .The thermostat also now needs checking / replacing .

Late like usual. There is at least one and I'm thinking two heater hoses back of engine in close proximity to the water pump, one attaches to it directly IIRC. Look there.
