Has anyone fitted a CSR electric water pump to a Clevo? If so what mods do you need to make. I know it can be done just not sure of all the work needed to fit'em up.

Hi Brett, Ralph lewis has 1 on his xc not sure about the escort, but he regularly races them both at the motorplex and sometimes drives the xc on the street.

Ok. Ive seen them fitted but was told it takes a bit of messen about. I think you just need to block off the bypass at the front of the motor. I will get one anyway and make it fit. I got the "dont come back till you get a cage" talk so now i need to find some horsepower to make up for the weight of the cage!

Make sura yoiu get the pump and the backing plate.All bolts up from there.Only mucking about is the alternator support brackets and you need different belt.

i once did a efi course and the dummy motor on the dyno was 304ci 5ltr holden thingy and the motor was stock bar the extractors which added 12kw. we then put an electric waterpump on it and the thing added 18kw i stood there shell shocked i couldnt believe that u could gain so much, so i think u'll be quite happy wif the results of ur electric water pump and prolly well worth the effort.

Hi Brett,just fitted one to my Clevo you can't use the backing plate that it comes with[windsor] -just fit it with out .I had to die grind a little on the inlets on the block and counter sink one bolt hole where pump fits on my motor plate because it overlapped [being a csr windsor it only has 4 bolt holes for mounting ]let me know if you need more help or a photo

I just sold my old polished edelbrock water pump, and was going to buy an electric water pump, any brands that are better than others and whats the pricing like??? I got quoted $425 for one but i cant remember what brand he said it was. They also said that they removed an old belt driven water pump and put on an electric water pump and knocked between a tenth to 2 tenths of there 1/4 times, seems like a worth while investment.

How ya goin XD408. I got a CSR water pump. It cost $520. That was the best price I found. The brands I found were the best were either CSR or Meziere. The CSR was cheaper. I heard the 1-2 tenths aswell. Lets hope so! Gota make up for the weight of a cage!

i run mr gasket electric water pump drives on all my motors. they cost $199 and can then be changed from car to car, no mater what V8 it is.
you can also buy high speed kits for them which takes them from 350rpm to 40% faster.
went from [email protected] to [email protected] but i added a scoop and 3/4 inch higher slicks aswell.. amazing how much a water pump can draw at 7000rpm.
