Yeah, I plan to pull ALL the gold trim of the car(i went through a gold phase) The car has had a long history of problems..It was in the shop the first 3 week s I ownd it.
First was the oil pump(replaced under recall), then the valvetrain(as a result of the oil pump), the cat needed replacement(luckely coverd under some emisions law), the computer was next to be replaced, the exhuast rusted in two 3 times, it also had a tendency to eat alternator belts. Then at 70kmi it was making its usual impresion of a desiel..then the rapping noises got worse,alot worse. Apparently the timing skipped a tooth or two. I guess the piston met valve and wrecked the motor. The dealership where I bought the car made a deal with Ford Motor Co. to get me a "Pilot" motor. so now I have a probe with around 800mi. and an extra $2K in repairs to pay my parents back for....I hope i didn't cary on with that. Just needed to get that out.
