Hi, im new to the forum. I apologise in advance if i've posted this on the wrong section of the forum.

I've got a 1988 EA falcon and have had it since new.
For some reason it turns itself off when it reaches a certain temperature. When this happens i have to give it a 10min rest to cool off a bit, then it's good to go again.

I was wandering if anyone might know what the problem is, or if anyone has had a similar problem????? I've taken it to workships who deal with electrics of a car and not one seems to know the problem.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

yes, the engine shuts down, it loses all power.
I'll give you're suggestion a go, I'm pretty sure you've hit the spot with this one.
