i have alot of noise coming from my valve train especially when i first start the car untill the oil gets to the top of the engine, then it quitenes down but its still very noisy, if i rev the car to about 2000 rpm you can hear alot of racket comin from in there,

iam going to see if i can get my lifters replaced , would this normally be the problem? is it common? anything else i should look out for?

HLA's(Hydraulic Lash Adjusters) are a quite common source of valvetrain noise on ford I6 ohc motors(ea - onwards)and relatively easy to fix(though can be expensive if you're unable to do it yourself)
Though there are other possible sources, I suggest you do a search on here for previous threads (noisy lifters should find you some info)
tip - remember to check yer headbolts whilst yer doing the HLA's

also i forgot to ask, will the valves be getting there full lift if the lifters are that noisy , hence loosing some performance?
