Well, what a fantastic day!! :D Had a great turnout from the club and the forums lads, got to meet some new blokes including Aussie Falcon! So the roll call was something like :
Me, The Doc, XLR8, Nipper, EF_Falcon_Guy, Aussie Falcon, Venom S, Anakha, and the lads from the club that don't frequent our site often enough!! (Did I miss anyone??!)

The GTP races were the highlights for me, the utes were interesting in their own right but couldn't compete with watching a red-hot Mustang or Lamborghini or XR8 vs SS. The Mustang looked and sounded downright horny, and got the most attention from my camera too! The XR8's also sounded fantastic, a real howl coming onto the main straight. The XR6 that was running had one of the strangest exhaust notes I've heard in a while...

Anyway, was great to spend some time with the lads (and ladies!), watch some great metal make fools and heros of themselves, and generally just arse around enjoying the sun and exhaust notes!!

Comments lads (who went hehe) ?? :D

Yeah, i'll vouch for what Mike said, very very good day. Teh Mustangs engine note was down right sweeet. I have no doubt that even if the AV falcon has the 4.6L engine it would dust of those commo's somethin chronic.

Also the listen of exhaust notes didn't just come from the races, but mainly came from XR8 owners with aftermarket exhausts. Geez i love those V8 sound right at your ears.

Oh yeah there was alot of crawling under members cars, bonnets opening and stereos crankin as well. :D :D :D

Top day guys, really enjoyed it.

Yeah and guess where all this Victa like smoke and dirt ended up on when Doc was doin the show, my baby grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The Wagon was parked right behind "The Pig" and windows were slightly open. Ahh it was all good.
:D :D :D

And the alarm, did any listen to the alarm of Doc's car. :p :p

Have to say i'm amazed at the Pig, it's got like 650,000km and the engine is still sweet. Got a nice sound to boot.

Oh, and I've found a bit of paint missing from my driver's door moulding. :( Looks like someone with green or blue paintwork hit since I washed it yesterday.

DTE was biitching at me for more go-juice, and at 86.9c for Optimax, I wasn't complaining! 79.9c for unleaded, I don't even remember the last time I saw sub-80c petrol.

Yeah those prices are neaerly like my High School days.

Must say i reckon it's heaps cool having all the ford forum crew at a gathering.
For me i must say i really like the club runs. After the fun we had at Bathurst burning petrol, rubber and high speed dicing with other guys.

Well EF_GuY is goin to get a few things checked out, and tuned before the southern club run. Oh yeah EF_GuY will be cleaning his engine bay again. :p :p

Speaking of such things, in time for the next run, I will be adequately shod with a fine set of new rubber (Pirelli P5000's all round), and have some shot rear bushes replaced. No more Mr Squeaky from the rear right corner over bumps!! :D

BTW any of you fancy-high-tech-arse lads with oooh-my-digital-cameras wanna post some shots from the day? Us lesser mortals must get our pics processed first

I must have been the only properly kitted out member there.

Sunnies - check
Proper hat - check
foldup chairs - check
jacket - check
sunscreen - check
Red Rooster lunch (mmm) - check
ED Sprint -check (hehe)

Shame I noticed that morning some c*nt had stolen 3 of my valve caps though. <sigh>

Nice day overral but I found the talking and looking at club cars more interesting that the racing! Don't know how long this ute thing will last. Wasn't nearly as good as the GTP to watch.

Yeh it was a great day. Good to finally meet a few of you! The mustang was by far the best sounding car out there.

Re the sunburns, I knew that would happen thats why I also did the hat and sunscreen thang. I remember going to the Winfield triple challenge a few years back, I was bright red and peeling for a week. I looked like I was involved in a pit refueling accident hehe :)
