Code 14 indicates faulty PIP signal during idle test.

Cause: Wirimng Harness, ECU, Faulty TFI unit, Faulty vane rotor, Worn distributor.

Symptons: Engine miss, Surge, rough idle, Stalling.

Its easy if you do a few things: remove the ISC, fan shroud, rocker cover breather hose where it attaches to the manifold. I think thats all thats in that area. That way you have a bit of room to move your hands.

Ive heard theyre something rediculous like $150 new. I got a 2nd handie from a wrecker when mine died...

Would this be the most likely cause??? I Want to get a new one if its faulty...
The code 14 doesnt come up all the time. I did the test a few times and it displayed the code 11 twice out of 4. Loom looks fine tho. I just expected a dizzy to last longer than 2 years.

Repco sells them for around $80 or $90 for 6 cylinders and they want around $300+ for a V8.... This was the price few months ago I don't know if they are still the same price.... It's funny how everything for a ford V8 costs 3 times as much.
