Guys, When I got the above mentioned car about 2 weeks ago now, but the other day when I had the radio off, i noticed that when the gearbox shifted from 1st to 2nd and/or possibly 2nd to 3rd, there's a "clunk" that comes from the back of the car. The other day, I was turning right into a long sweeping corner and again I heard that sound except it was louder. Does anyone know if this is normal and if not what could it be? (My previous cars were all FWD, so I've never experienced RWD before).

I think my friend had the same problem in his H#@!#n Calais..
a nice little diff clunk noise. I think the problem with his was worn rear bushes near the shocks.

Not enough gear oil??
