I have a 1984 F150 with a 5.0L engine.
I plan to keep this truck for at least a couple of years and I am wondering if an EFI conversion is worth the money.
The truck needs a new carb anyway and the rebuilt items I have tried wont pass smog. So it looks like I will have to get a new carb which is going to be in the region of $500.
This got me thinking about an EFI conversion. I believe it would cost around $1500-$2000.
With gas prices the way they are I think If I keep the truck for a couple years then the savings in fuel economy will make the EFI conversion worthwhile.
I'd like your thoughts on this as my good ideas usually aren't.
