i,ve been thinking of swaping my autobox over to a manual.Is this difficult? and how much would i be looking at approx $ ??

P.S. i dont want to sell my beast as its in excellent condition ..

ring around at the wreckers for a EL2 manual EEC. then get the box.

I forgot, I have a EL1 XR8 manual ECU. You can have it for $200.

thanx slim! are the gearboxes the same between the EL2 and EL1 ?? and ECU! is this the computer ? is the box u want to sell in good condition ? and are u in Sydney ?

the ecu on EL1 IS DIFFERENT CALIBRATION THAN el2 REMEMBER EL1 was 165kw and EL2 is 185kw
the diff rartio youll have to chnage keep it an auto (keep it original) im sure you can add ona unichipp to bring it up anyway

I'm also in the game of thinking about a Auto > Manual changover . . . has anyone sucessfully done this ? And again . . . cost ? I've got the feeling at least one member of the Vic Xr Club has done this through herrods in melbourne . . . but I would rather do it in Sydney . . .

The only advice i've had so far is to hassle a wrecker, who should be able to do all the gear you need for a manual system ( beenadvised to ensure you get *all* the nuts and bolts and stuff beforehand ).

Oh . . . Don't spose we could make this response window a little bigger ?

Oh, and I have an EL1 . . . So slim, u still got the ECU ?
