Getting these dashes out of EL is dead easy, (5 minutes)XtRmn8 said:Thanks guys! Looks like the globe!
Too much mess trying to pull the dash out!
Well when i select the switch to re-circulating mode i can hear a noise of a plate switching. Not sure if the plate is stuffed or thre isn't enough vaccum or plate isn't closing properly.Jase_ELXR8 said:Make sure you're getting vacuum to the actuator first before pulling the dash....
Hmmm might give it a go tomorrow morning while i muck around with the clutch and a few other things. :crazy2: :crazy2:botch said:to test fresh-recirc flap:
put hand in duct where air gets drawn in behind glovebox. You should be able to push the flap (usually covered in spongy stuff) up and the fan will draw in air. If it is very easy to move this flap up with the fan off then its busted the lever. ON eas and ebs you can remove the whole LHS of the dash and remove the flap. not too sure on efs onwards though.
If you want a quick fix to keep the flap on the recirc mode, lift it up and screw in a self tapper through the duct to hold the flap up.
