Hey guys .my partners 03 focus 2.0 litre has check engine lights may be due to oil over fill also a rubbing noise from front left plz help

Need to drain off the surplus oil if excessive ASAP . Is the noise at the wheel , does it vary with speed or when braking ? If still got engine light on , needs scanning for fault codes
