You should be able to find the Engine Code on the Vehicle Warranty Plate. The engine code would be the fifth digit from the left.

The 1969 - 1970 HP 351W had an engine casting number of C90E-B, and a basic casting number of 6015. Bore was 4.00, Deck Height was 9.480, and it used a 6 bolt bellhousing.

The cylinder Head Casting number came in a number of flavors, the 1969 casting number C90E-B, -D, had a cc of 60. The 1969 - 1974 DO0E-C, -G had a cc of 62, as did the 1969 - 1974 DO0Z-C head castings. All had 1.84/1.54 valves.

The 'good' 1969 - 1970 351W-4V engine had an engine code of "M". It was rated at 290 HP @ 4,800 RPM, and 385 lb ft @ 3,200 RPM. Compression ratio was 10.7:1.
