Engine oil leak?

I have this leak see photo attached. I believe it is engine oil. It is almost intermittent and then randomly dumps enough to make a small puddle. Any idea what it may be? Thanks

If that oil is coming out from between the cover plate and the bell housing then it is likely the rear main seal if it is engine oil. It could also be the transmission front seal if its not engine oil.

If it is running down the front of that cover then moving on to the bell housing then it may be the oil pan gasket.

Rear main was my first guess. It really seemed like it was coming from that little Black dust cover at first but I am questioning that now. Hopefully I can clean and trace the leak better. Appreciate ya!

A rear main seal leak would show up on the inspection plate in front of the bell housing.. The leak you have appears to be from the transmission front pump seal.. It's the seal the torque converter slides into..
Can you see from the oil whether it's engine oil or ATF ? USUALLY easy to identify the difference

Yea for someone reason this isn’t as clear as to which it is lol I added dye to the oil so now I’m just waiting for it to leak again.
