I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with the 4.6 l it starts and runs but surges up to 1200 rpm then down to 600 rpm does it for a little bit then dies. But it starts up really easy. It is throwing no codes. New mafs new tps injectors and plugs and coils please help

The IAC can also come into play (Idle Air Control).

I installed a new pcv valve and checked hose still surges. I checked the iac and it tested at 11 ohms so within spec. I’m at a loss

I found the problem a brand new mafs went bad got a new one. Runs well now except for running way to rich. Does anyone know what the fuel pressure is supposed to be at fuel rail

That's way too high, sounds like a failed regulator.

The regulator for this vehicle is in fuel pump if I’m right. So I’ll have to change pump to fix regulator

Wish it was I’ve looked it up only thing on fuel rail is a damper oh well I’ll have to pull tank and change pump thanks for your help
