Hello guys i was given a looks to be like a stainless steel hot dog muffler or resanator dunno really lol never took intreast in xorts anyways it seems to be striahgt through. Iam wondering how much would a xorst place charge to duplicate the oem pipes ( diff to buck off car) but lil bigger and make a flange to connect to the front muffler and run some pipe from diff to the rear New hotdog.

not much off the shelf cat back systems are pretty cheap if ya cats ok. mine was 200 for the piping and i had a big section of it remade so it was all mandrel, not mandrel with press bends over the diff. have a look here for some piccies of my exhuast and other stuff done to my car.

If you already hav an existing muffler, a hot dog (resonator) is only going to quieten the noise. The hot dog does one thing... reduce noise. they are pointless unless you need to do just that or you can get rid of your muffler alltogether and whack in a hotdog. by removing the muffler, a hotdog will create more noise.

Strange, but this is what my mate (exhaust specialist) told me.

I needed to do just that, albeit a small amount and the hotdogs work a treat.

oh coz this muffler or hotdog dunno lol is stright through and doesnt seem like it will quieten noise.

Why Stainless?
I got a full Humex Mandrel bent, straight through, mild steel, 2.5" system, cat back, for about $300.
this system has a nice rough note, but is quiet enough to not draw attention.
But is nice and loud when your up it.

You would be suprised at the difference a little hotdog makes when it comes to note and volume. Even very small changes in piping muffler placement can have an effect.
