I replaced the fuel pump.It will start and it will work just fine if I do not let it edel after start up. If It idles for more than two minutes it will run out of fuel. I then need to re prime the system. Remove the fuel line from the pump ,draw a vacuum till fuel comes out. Re connect the line , then bleed the fuel filter. crack open an injector and crank till all air is out. It then starts and runs fine. Can drive it 70 miles no problem. Then a week later I will restart and left at idle it will again run out of fuel. I do not know what will happen if I just started driving it. do you think it could be a small air leak before the pump and the switch tank valve?

It's a possibility, also could have a problem at the sending unit. Why was the fuel pump replaced in the first place?

On a side note, if there is a very minor leak, it should be wetted around that location when the engine isn't running, it would make sense that something would be leaking out.
