In have a 2013 F150 and I tow a RV that weighs approx 6500 lbs. I need to upgrade to a better towing tire. I've be told to go for the Cooper Discoverer HT3, but
the reviews are fair. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hank

Except for big-rig drive axle tires, there are no tires made specifically for towing. Since we don't know what tires you have on the truck presently, the best advice is to stay with a name brand tire. There are many, and everyone has their preferences, but I have had no trouble with Michelin or Goodyear. I would not go to a larger tire because it will make your gearing higher, exactly opposite of what yo need for towing. Look for an "E" load rated tire with a recent date code. Too many people shop price, which makes sense, but they wind up with tires that are already over a year old when installed. One of the most important things you can do after the new tires are installed is CHECK YOUR TIRE'S AIR PRESSURE frequently. Most likely, it will be the trailer tires that cause the most trouble.
