According to the car mag articles of the time the engine was the same as the EL GT. ie GT40 iron heads and GT40 tubular intake manifold. I believe it had a different camshaft grind and revised ECU progamming to produce more low and midrange torque to suit the heavier weight and likely role of the vehicle.
