Ford Fairlane turns over and starts fine.

But then dies.

Please help!

Possibly fuel blockage which doesn't allow the fuel bowl to refill quickly enough. How long does she run for before dying? What happens under revs just after starting?

I encountered a similar problem which turned out to be a faulty fuel pump. Try a new fuel pump and see if the problems still exists.

If it dies straight away,it could be the ballast resistor in the ign circuit(that is of course if it is a points ign car).Check for power at the coil positive when the ign is switched on.
