Well I went to the junkyard and picked up an aluminum valve cover of an HO-HSC. Got it for $10
I took it home and cleaned it. Originally I had planned to polish it like Olympic had suggested, but after I started at it and it wasn't getting anywhere I decided to give up and take the cheap (and lazy) way out. I painted it with silver high temp paint. I turned out ok in the end.

I've attached a close up picture of my painted lettering and I'll attached another pic tomorrow once I get it installed.

Jeez, come to think of it the gasket cost me more than the valve cover! Gasket cost: $27.99 Aluminum valve cover cost: $10

I like it

Good job man :) I like how it turned out. You gonna put it on your car?

Yup, I'm putting it on my car first thing tomorrow morning.
The first closeup pic actually looks pretty bad..... That's not the painting, it's just the (poor)quality of the camera.

Oh and G, I checked and the car that had the ground effects is no longer there.
