Hi all,
I was recently close to buying a 2009 Ford Focus GHIA but it had several issues between agreement of purchase and delivery and when I got it it broke down after a day so I got a refund.

I’m curious to know if this particular type Focus, GHIA model, encounters many problems and is it best to stay away from them. I’ve seen another one I like but I really don’t want a car that’s going to give me hassle.

Any comments at all on this particular model would be a great help.

A lot of factors to consider and depends on whether manual or automatic , petrol or diesel , mileage , any service history , body condition , previous owners ( for example , could have been a private taxi or hire car ) also not sure of MOT requirements in Dublin as opposed to N. Ireland ( Ulster ) where you can easily verify mileage and work carried out in previous tests , which can be vital with an 11 yr old car . The Ghia tends to have all the whistles and bells which is good when new but can develop problems down the line , often costly .
