Can we make a list of all the Ford V8;s and what vehicles they are used in?

What are the TRITON engines, are they the same engine as used in the mustang?

The triton i believe is the Iron 5.4L V8 used in the F-series (great in the lightning). The 6.8L Diesels are also derived from this (modular) engine. And as you all know the 4.6 is a modular.

I was trying to get an idea of how many yank v8' there are and what vehicles they are used for.

I have come up with this so far:

5.0L Windsor - FALCON ONLY
5.4L Petrol Trition - F250
4.6L Petrol Trition - Explorer

5.4L ?????? - Mustang US
4.6L ?????? - Mustang US


Where I am stuck, I was wondering if the 4.6 and 5.4 Tritions are the same one that is used in the stang?

are the tritons modular?? I think they are cos they had the V10 Trition in the stang burnout car didnt they...

Don't foreget the old side valve=flat heads
The early Windser 221... &..352....460
And I guess the motor Ford designed for Catapiller doesn't count,cat went to Ford to engineer a cast block,they look similar too.V8 d...Others??
