Focus
Couger
Ka
Granada
Tanus
Capri.......just to name a few

Good idea, but you are the first person to ask about/for it since the site opened. You would be the only person in it. ;) Do you know of anyway to get some membership her for it? I think this has been kicked around by the owner of this site and that the language issue would a ISSUE.

I have many friends here in Germany. With just a few emails here and there....I could bring membership. It's like I said....they have totally different cars here so it would be fun to compare engines/parts. The German forum would/should consist of two seperate forums being English (for those who understand) and German. Just my two cents:D

BTW there is a Ford Mondeo with 240whp here:nuts: That's the same as a Contour/Cougar with the duratec 2.5 v6.......talk about the US ford scene blowin up...........????:D

Here is the only issue that I have. I can not on the fly convert all messages to German. I can create the site so that when they sign up they can choose German or english, but the messages that they post will be in German and those in that dont speak German would not be able to understand unless they use..... I think it is Babblefish.

My question is how to proceed with this. I would not mind having the german section on here. It is the Language issues. :WH:

Being that I understand German it wouldn't be a problem for me to assist in the forums/discussion topics........I understand the issue about the language but, think about how much info you all can learn.....Germans are very serious about modding their rides.
Like I said just break it down for them. If they choose to register english then it's english and vice versa with german.

I believe the only forums they would need is a German pic forum which is basically for all German cars and a tech/maintenance forum which would then break off into different cars. You have no need to worry about a suspension forum cause over here mostly every car has 5-15way adjustable shock/struts/springs.

Just give it some thought:D:D:D:D I'm willing to work with this issuse.

Seems to me it could be a great forum if John can set it up. If the forum is in German I can't see how I could set anything up, I do not know German, YAVOLT, ha ha ha ha Mabe just put up an english area, would that see any traffic?

It would see some trafic........Sometimes the fact of speaking or just dealing with english scares them off. On the other hand there are some Germans that take every chance they get to use the little english they know. Then you have the all high and mighty Germans that correct you when you say something wrong or with to much slang......:WH:'s but I think it would be off to a great start if you really planned it well.

Well I am all for a english version of a German area, set up simialr to the Australian section we have not. It can be set up diff. if need be, but I can start it up that way. Maybe down the road John can set something up to switch it to German.
Give me some FORUM ideas. I would say lets keep it simple for now, again like the Aussie area.

are you trying to say were simple tim..!!! (lol).

Seriously though, I think the German area could work, there is nothing to stop them typing in German, or English without the use of babblefish. If anything needed to be translated, it could easily be done by the German speaking members of the Forum, for the benefit of those, that dont speak German. Most I know, speak English anyway. And vice versa.

This sounds like a great idea and the only problem with it seems to be working out the language barrier. now, and this is just my 2 cents, if there is a way to get a few english speaking germans on here now to discuss this with the admin's and mod's and work something out with translating things into english or vice versa, i think that would work out pretty well.

really, i think what it comes down to is, are there going to be enough german individuals as members on this forum to make translating everything worth it, or should them only come if they can speak/type/read english.

:whoaa: This is a programers problem... wished I was one :beerbottl Next life. Perhaps there needs to be a link to the program that does the translating. I would pay for it if nessassary as there are too many other foriegn language sites out there to ignore :hy: :driver:

I still require some one to help me acquire part for the Geramn made Granda and if this site were to post that link at the top for use by the registered members then that would solve the problem in the short term  Wht wasn't a born able to speak all those silly toher languages EH  :bounce:

I also belong to the XS 650 garadge USA wehre there is a spell checker for guys like me that also need to know how to spll pel ......er you know

My 2 cents EH
