I want to get a ute (on gas) in the near future.
Would I be better buying an XF carby or a later model with EFI?
If I go with an XF it will obviously be cheaper and as gleaned from most sources will run much better on gas compared to EFI cars. Also I won't cry as much when I scratch the XF when loading it up.
I'm looking for info from anyone who has owned or operated both and can advise of the pros and cons with each.

carby XF on gas

EFI is also good why not get a carby xf ute and just efi it
i got my ute very cheap came with parts a set of BA 18's etc

look around you might get a bargain

Go the XF carby.

I've got a 93 XF van - very last of them before the XG - on gas and havn't had any problems at all in the 6 years I've had it. Its never backfired, runs smooth when cold, good economy (when tuned) all on a 400,000km engine!
