That guy needs to get out more. He must trade his Cars in at 10,000 miles because it sounds like he is afraid of 'Excesive' miles. Cars can last longer than 50,000 miles. It is called taking care of them and replacing parts that need replacing (PM).

Used cop cars are cooler anyway. When else can you make your mother-in-law sit where some puking drunk, homicidal maniac or sleazebag prostitute once sat?

I've had three Vics already and a Town Car in my household and about twenty Town Cars (including stretches and Excaliburs) and Crown Vics at work....
So far excessive mileage term to me only stands to those vehicles with more than 200,000 on the clock.... otherwise they feel good!
Both my 1992's had way above 100k..... ThunderVic I had 182,xxx when I bought it, ThunderVic II had 133,xxx and ThunderVic III 1996 has 110,xxx right now even thou its a 1996.... SO?
You can't feel it on these cars even though they have "mileagewise" gone over the world a few times....... No Nissan could do that...... plus in my Vic I've never had a feeling I could get squished over like a bug..... in a Toyota when I was selling them I almost got run over..... heh

These guys are a JOKE!!!! They don't know any thing about used PIs. Most of theses cars are taken cared of very well. These cars are made to have high miles. Pluse, they are VERY fun to drive with on the freeway
These guys are saying that buying a used PI is bad, but they are offering him a used NYC taxi cab!! They have twice as much miles then a PI!! I saw a '97 NY taxi cab on ebay, and it had 300,000 miles on it!!

·LOL! I saw that CV on e-bay you're talking about! It had 301k miles, was missing inside door panels, side marker light, etc.
The final selling price was like $460. Not bad, really! If it wasn't as far away as it was, I would have bid on it (then replaced the back seat & fumigate it)
