Went to Herrods today for mods to the ute. .
215.7kW atw on the dyno. ( Air , exhaust [only headers] , helical block ).
Back for cats back fitment on the 4th , and maybe a chip is on the go .
I made the mistake of getting my air intake fitted elsewhere . Thanks to Robs boys , all fixed as should of been originally .
Rob may cost a little more , but the workmanship is well worth it ..EVERY cent of it , and it does show .
Also , if you have a BA and don't have a short shifter ..BUY ONE NOW..
3rd gear exists at 5000rpm like a breeze.

Thanks again to Rob for his willingness to share his information , answer my question s , and fix my abortion . :AAHHH:

Cheers

Good to see you're happy with what youve done.

What is the helical block?

What is the helical block?
The helix that sits between the throttle body and plenum . Basically , it swirls the air going in

Do you mind sharing why it was a mistake getting the air intake fitted else where?
What sort of intake was it?

PM me if you wish. Thanks. I'm planning on getting this done very soon.

And here's me thinking I'm the only one around with one of these!... So, Did all your mods get done at the same time?... Or have you really had the chance to evaluate the helix gizmo?

It was an SS induction unit .
The place I originally took it to , left a big air gap in the bottom where I couldn't see it ( and tried to fill it with silastic ) and then hacked the airbox nozzle too short .
When I visited Herrods today , visually , their install method and workmanship was miles infront and it stuck out like dogs balls . Because they only deal with Fords and do it on a daily basis , they have the system worked out. Also , they spray the unit to make it blend in and look factory . A nice touch that finishes it off .

As I said originally , i'll pay the extra $$ for quality workmanship and a bit of pride in ones job.

I had the airbox fitted a few days ago , so i've had the chance to see what difference this block makes on its own . For me , it gives a little more takeoff response . You can hear it when the right boot is laid in , as it whistles as the air passes through it.
