Hi,
I own and love my 1986 Bronco(5.0 EFI). I had no mechanical experience or knowledge before buying this truck, but between it, my wife's 1990 Ranger and my 1967 MGB, auto has become a great pastime! I'm a Realtor by trade, Marine(1988-1994), student at UNO(history). I bought my truck because I almost got stranded in my Nissan Sentra on a very rainey day -- I was in a part of town that floods bad -- the water was lapping over the hood, but it didn't kill. The next day I started looking for a Bronco! A year later I finally found one (Broncos for sale are scarce here) from a guy who was the original owner, who never took it offroad and pretty much babied it. I have had it 3 years now, and had the engine rebuilt at 167050 miles. Other than that, no problems. i really love my Bronco, have never regretted spending a cent or a second working on and enjoying it.

I love NO, love the food, love Dixie beer with crawfish, love the price of beer there, love to fish there, and most of all I love the women there. New Orleans has the best looking women in the world.

I spent a week in Louisiana a couple of years ago. Loved New Orleans, the party atmosphere, food, architecture, music, friendly people and cheap beer - Abita? Still can't believe you can have a beer 'to-go' in a plastic cup. People must have loved my shoes, they kept on asking where I got them from? ( I already knew it was a scam).

I drove up through Batton Rouge, Oak plantation house, and a couple of hours north along that highway built above the swamp. The people I was with all drove pickup trucks, unfortunately they were mostly GM brands. I don't get what fascination you all had with guns. It was weird being shown a gun collection with pride.

I would love to own one of those trucks, but they are not very practical here in the city. I think I'll stick to our Aussie V8 utes:

Hi Aussie!

Glad to hear you had a good time here, fun and hospitality are kinda rules of life here. As for the guns and pickups, well, I guess its a southern thing. I am really not into the whole southern thing, particularly the guns and the racism. Of course, not all gun owners are racists, and not all racists live in the south.
Anyway, I hope you got to drink alot, if drinking is your thing. New Orleans is the alcohol drinking capitol of the world, you can buy it & drink it 24/7/365, religious holidays included.
What kind of car is that picture of? it sure looks sweet, like a Mustang or something close.
