I have a 1961 Ford Country Squire with the 300HP 390ci and the tranny is shown as a MX/FX. The last number in the VIN is 3 which is where the tranny identification is supposed to be but the decoder doesn't list a 3. So what is the tranny? Anyway is an MX/FX a C-6 or what? How do I tell if I have an MX or FX? The guy who sold the car before I bought it listed it as a C-6. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

According to the RockAuto's parts list the transmission pan on the MX has 15 bolts and rectangular shaped pan.
