Whats the highest mileage you've seen on a ford? My family usually dosent' keep their cars too long, but my escort has a 140,000 on it.

I just talked to my mom's boyfriend. He's got an econoline work van thats packed full of tools all the time, he can't even fit a door in it, it had to go in my escort. Anyway, he's got over 400,000 miles on it. Never had a problem, just changes the oil when it's black.

high mileage

Well I have a 1988 Taurus, it has over 228,000 miles, it still starts and drives. The only major problem is the front end is getting a little tired, it needs a camber solution. I have no clue how many miles the old bronc has on it, but I am sure it is a lot.

Whoa...some pretty high miles here!

But my '77 Mustang doesn't have nearly that many. The car has 277,000 miles on it, but the engine only has about 50K.

My dad's 1995 Windstar has 168,000 miles on it, but the engine was replaced back in November at 162,000. The head gaskets blew out.

My '99 only has 21,900 miles on it. :)

My 98 Taurus SE has 75,000

My Dad's 97 Mercury Sable has 106,000

My Mom's 88 Taurus Wagon LX has 250,000

My Brother's 88 Taurus GL has 120,000

I guess you can say that my family loves Fords and loves Taurus and Sables even more.

Yeah, seriously. Think of the publicity it could give them if they started doing that. Put toyota and saturns 200k mile clubs to shame! :gok:

Well my 89 Thunderbird with a 3.8 has 475,000 Km on it and it has never had the valve covers off. Unfortunately it is rotten, been used as a winter car only for the past 4 years. It is now done.

1989 Ranger with a 2.9 at the Auto Parts store where I worked as a kid, had over 600,000 Km on it and it only ever had a water pump and valve cover gaskets. (a few clutches though ;)). It was my favorite truck, it'd run circles around the 94 and 95 3.0L's we had.
