I know this is on short notice but if you want to go drive your car around Buttonwillow Raceway as fast as you dare check out www.open-track.com .For $140.00 you get four 20 min. sessions on the track, good for 5-6 laps if they are using the entire 3 mile track. They space the cars at the start but there is passing allowed on designated straightaways. The web site says
Sept. 30 & Oct. 1st but the flyer I got from them a couple weeks ago says Oct. 6&7.

that's not bad at all. do they provide the safety equipment/crew as well?

stacey and i will be at buttonwillow on the 10/13-14 and again on 10/27-28. hope you can make the autocross at the end of october!

Yes, they hire locals as corner workers. All you need is an approved helmet as their web site states.

FYI

I have the buttonwillow sch. and it says that Vintage racing will be at the end of sept, the 29-30 and that they have a open track day listed for Oct 6-7 and on Oct 1 they will have Motorcycle racing.

So hope that cleared things up.

now, i KNOW you're coming this year, aren't ya howard?

if you don't have your car, i'm up for letting you use my pgt at buttonwillow. in fact, we can pick ya up too if your pgts is in the shop still. :thumbup:
