[Big Block Ford]

Hey guys I've got a mate with a 2.0 liter Mondeo sw auto that he says is dissapointing power wise.I know I know I said wtf did you buy an auto for but do these things go any good or has he just purchased a dud or maybe he should get it checked out more by the Ford dealer.It is one of the older models I think 96.The dealer says everything seems ok but he reckons overtaking is a life and death situation.What do you think.

I think there was a thread about the older 2litre model mondeo in the aussie section. I know someone that leased one of the ealrier mondeos and he said overtaking was nearly as hard as pissing into the wind. The torque curve was flatter than a bowling lane and the engine didnt want to rev. Hope that helps.

Thanks cobra.Maybe these things suck for power.The older 2.0 sohc motors went well.Anyone else had experiance with these.
