In regards to the original question, my brother wanted the exact same sort of EA and he got his with 216,000 on the clock for $3500. It is an average EA, nothing special, but not a piece of shit either and with the sort of attention and care it will recieve it will soon be like the ones gracing the pages of ford.i8.com.
I bought an 88 S pack. MPI, 5 speed . A/c . perfect condition other than 1 small dent next to the tail light. The interior is absolutely spotless and only 1 owner. Regular service history. It Has only 134,000 k's on the clock. I bought it from a dealer.Reg until october. i pick it up tomorrow drive away CANT WAIT. I got it for $3900 is this a good price.
this guy in the trading post had done his ea up, and it pulled 14.7 sec quater miles at eastern crek with time slips to prove.
the guy then had the donk performance re built, and he was selling the car for $3250 - it was in good condition too. When i called him about it he said the engine had done a few thousand km's after the rebuilt, so yeah that was a sweet deal...but it got away before it could get the dosh together.
After seeing this, i think $5400 is probably expecting too much.
i picked up a 88 fairmount ghia factory 5 speed with rear wing tinted windows 2.5" exhaust and extrators cd player 6'9s alarm lowered springs (king springs) with 221000 on the clock i got it for $ 5000 so i think any where from 3000 to 6000 is a fair price for a good one
Hey EAbeast... If I hadnt have just brought a shitload of stuff for my wagon i would have brought that S pak off yA dude.. I hate it when i see a bargain and cant sell my old car I would have lost too much $$$$ selling it. Nice EA dude..
that EA you speek of belongs to the son of the guy who owns the EB Fairmont Ghia worked V8 that i am hoping to buy (he's not sure if still wants to sell it or not + i've gotta sell my EA first). That EA sounded all right, it was a 5 speed too, i think it was pretty standard on the outside but was still good value.
