Hi Guys,

I knew how to do this in the past but forgot. Can someone tell me how I can get rid of the wrench icon in the dash of an AU Series 1 XR6? Its the icon that serves as a reminder for the vehicle's regular servicing.

I know it has got something to do with turning the ignition to a certain spot and reseting the dash, but not so sure now. Please help guys!

Thanks in advance!

Mal

Before you turn the car on hold the trip meter reset in. Then turn the car to the on position (when you can see the wrench) and keep the button in till it dissapears. Did mine last week :wnc:

I can always count on someone with more technical knowledge than me to come up with a brilliant answer like that.

Goodonya mate, I guess you use 3M postit tags as mud flaps for your car?

does this mean I can use a PC case fan as a turbo???

:beer2: Nah - try one of those evaporative coolers which use ice... then you get water injection, intercooler and turbo in the one unit :coo:

Now lets see you put that together in your car and bring it down the quarter...sounds like a workable idea to me.

Man - you guys can talk some [email protected]!! lol. All from one question about the wrench symbol! Love it!

Thanks for that method Casper - it is the exact reverse of what it says in my owners manual and it (the owenr's manual version) doesn't work. Now I know why!

just tried the reset to get rid of the wrench thingy on the dash! For the EF's and EL's you have to press the odometer reset button 3 times and hold it in on the 3rd press until it goes away.
